About
This is a family practice with an abundance of experience, eager to continue to deliver a high standard of medical care to todays family. The Practice is also involved in Occupational Medicine Assessments, Diabetic and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Clinics, training of medical
students and clinical trials.
Dr. Jane Dorman
MB BCh NUI, DCH DObs, MRCGP, MICGP, L.A.R.C. LFamily planning certificate, Diploma in Cardiovascular Prevention in primary care setting. L.F.O.M (Licentiate in occupational medicine) 2014
Dr Jane Dorman graduated from Galway University in 1981. She went on to train in her chosen speciality General Practice. She has obtained further post graduate qualifications in Family Planning, Cardiovascular Prevention in Primary Care, Diploma in L.A.R.C – Long Acting Reversible Contraception
Dr Jane joined her father’s practice in Practice 1986.
Special interests are Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Management, Psychiatry, Occupational Health and Women’s Health.
Dr. Michael Dorman
MB BCh NUI, LaH Dubl, MRCGP
Dr Michael MRCGP, established the practice in 1956. He is particularly interested in delivery of continuity of care in family medicine throughout the generations. Special interests: Sports Medicine, Men’s Health and Occupational Health

Dr Niamh Macey
MB BA BCh, BAO DCH, MRCGP, MICGP
Dr Macey graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1977. On completion of vocational training in General Practice in 1982, she became a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1987, became a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners. She also holds a Diploma in Child Health (1978) and an Irish Family Planning Certificate (1985).
Niamh has a particular interest in Care of the Elderely, Pallative Care, Paediatrics, Quality and Clinical Audit
Nurse Claire Keaney
Claire Keaney qualified from Cork University Hospital in 1991initally working in General nursing and Orthopaedic in Ireland. She expanded her professional experience overseas in New York working in Intensive Care.
Returning to Ireland in 2001 with a Diploma in Critical and Coronary Care Nurse Claire worked in Bon Secours Intensive Care Unit in Cork until 2007. Due to family re-location she moved to Sligo and joined the primary care team in Dormans Family Practice.
